March 26, 2025: Fox Family Heating and Air continues to impress me! Cameron came to our home to service the HVAC system they installed 2 years ago (see 6/26/23 review below). Our system has been working fine and kept us warm all winter.
Cameron came on time and was very efficient; he answered all of my questions thoroughly and politely. I signed up for the extended warranty which is only $15 monthly and will stay at this same rate for the next 8 years! He showed me everything during his service visit and took photos to allow for comparison if needed in the future.
Cameron clearly loves his job and enjoys working with the people whose HVAC systems he services. I look forward to the next visit from Fox Family Heating and Air!
October 4, 2024: Fox Family Heating and Air is the best! Our entire HVAC system was completely revamped 16 months ago (see review below), and has performed beautifully ever since. Decided to schedule a maintenance visit to decrease the chance of future problems.
Everything checked out fine, and I happened to mention to the technician that one of our rooms, which gets a lot of sun, was not as cool during the record-setting heat we had this past July. Upon inspection, he felt the attic air ducts for that area of the house might need to be re-routed and arranged for another visit in a few days with someone from their service department.
Turns out our ducts needed only to be slightly tweaked and after this was done there was noticeably greater airflow in the affected room. Best of all, both the maintenance and service visits were at no charge!
I really appreciated that both technicians showed up on time and we received a courtesy call to let us know each person’s name and when to expect their arrival. Both of them explained everything and answered all my questions and made sure I understood everything.
I wish all contractors were as customer-oriented as Fox Family Heating and Air!
June 26, 2023: We made the decision to replace our aging heater and AC unit, both of which were constantly breaking down after decades of use. Colin Smith at Fox Family Heating and Air recommended we update our HVAC system with a heat pump that provides both heating and cooling. This would allow us to free up valuable floor space in the garage by relocating the equipment to the side of the house (see photos). Moreover, the new system would be much quieter, energy efficient and make us eligible for a $3.5K SMUD rebate and $2K federal tax credit.
To ensure we were making an informed decision, we met with two other HVAC contractors. From the very beginning, Colin impressed us with his extensive knowledge, experience, and attentive listening. While the other contractors generally agreed with Colin's plan, they seemed more focused on upselling rather than truly understanding our needs. Ultimately, Fox Family Heating and Air instilled the most confidence in us by a long shot, so we went with them.
What sets Fox Family Heating and Air apart is that Colin himself, who initially met with us, also led the crew that came to our house. In contrast, the representatives from the other two companies were merely salesmen, and installation would be handled by others. We believe it is crucial for homeowners to have the same person who plans the project also oversee the installation. This ensures clear communication and minimizes the chances of misunderstandings and frustrations.
Our HVAC system works wonderfully now; you can rely on Fox Family Heating and Air to be honest, reliable and deliver exceptional service!
