I purchased my house 2 years ago. The previous owner had the AC unit installed by this company. When it started blowing warm air I decided to call the company that installed it instead of my home warranty company. I am so glad that I did!!!!!! They were able to come out a day earlier than scheduled which was great because my house temperature was above 90 for the past 3 days. They got to work immediately and quickly identified the issue. Our AC stopped working, and I saw the great reviews with Fox Family, so I gave them a call. They had a technician out to my house within 24 hours. Joey determined in about 5 minutes that he needed to replace the capacitor, and he did an amazing job. He very clearly explained the problem and what the expected cost would be, and even showed me pictures and evidence of the issue. Superior service! Very honest and reasonable. We have been part of their maintenance plan for over 2 years. Cameron, our tech, has gone above and beyond with careful troubleshooting and follow-up. Yesterday our unit started malfunctioning, and today he was here for diagnostic and maintenance. The capacitor had failed. He replaced it, verified all was working, and answered all of my questions. We first met this company when they installed our new HVAC system 8 years ago. Bought a home where the system was original 1996. We had home warranty but wanted the whole thing replaced. Yesterday I recieved a call from my wife that our unit was blowing cold air. After trying to reset the unit there was no change so I call Fox heating and air to schedule an appointment. They said they would be out between 12-2 and we received a notification of the appointment than shortly after the tech notified me by text that he would be there at 1130. First time using this business. The technician was thorough and provided detailed results of inspection.We used One Hour HVAC for over 23 years. Always purchased the annual preferred customer plan and had our system maintenance done 2x a year, (just before summer and just before winter). We were always happy with the service the technicians provided. However, One Hour HVAC sold (not partnership) the company last year. I called 2 weeks ago to schedule appointment for maintenance. I was told they were not honoring the prepaid preferred customer plans already purchased. I was told we could have a onetime "complimentary" inspection. We have been using Fox Heating and Air for years. They replaced both of our air conditioning units a few years back and they work great. Now we have the deal with Fox where they come out twice a year, once in the fall to tune up the heating units and once in the spring to check the Air Conditioning units. I had an issue with cool air coming from the heat vents. Seemed to be a problem with the furnace not igniting but I didn’t know for sure. If you’re looking for a professional, friendly and very competitive company to install a heat pump (we converted from natural gas heat), look no further. Other bids we received included “necessary duct replacement” and slightly less efficient equipment. Fox Family did not recommend new ducts (they were already upgraded with the prior system installation) and included a variable speed Mitsubishi system. The work they performed in the attic and outside looks flawless and took less than a day. The system is quiet and works fantastic. I highly recommend this company. (Morgese/Emmett contract.)

Short version: Straight shooters who really know what they're doing.Long version: Our maintenance subscription with Fox had unknowingly expired, so when our heater acted up, we were not able to get the VIP scheduling and were forced to wait a few days for a service call. It was freezing cold outside, so I called another local company with decent reviews who could get to us sooner.I'll try not to make this story too long, but that other company came out and said the main mother board needed to be changed out at a cost of $740. I approved the repair. Unfortunately, the same problem persisted. The heater worked, but would not get up to full temp. They came out 2 more time, ultimately speculating that they needed to change out a gas valve for an additional $450. When I asked about the chances that this would actually repair the problem, they said 70%.I decided to call Fox because they had always been straight shooters whenever they came out. They offered to come out to give a second opinion. A sharp young man by the name of Kyle worked for about an hour problem-solving and ultimately fixed the heater with no additional parts. I'm reasonably mechanical and understand this stuff pretty well. I climbed up into the attic to understand Kyle's assessment and was blown away by his old-school approach to very carefully listen to various components, valves, and switches and determine that there was a condensation build-up problem within a switch that was preventing the secondary burner from igniting. Could I hear the clicks he described hearing in the valve? Just barely, but I would have never caught it without him pointing it out. Seriously, this guy has Jedi-level repair skills and practicality.They were going to run the repair through at no cost, which truly blew me away. In fact, I ultimately asked to re-subscribe to their annual service plan program. He didn't even try hard to sell that.We will definitely be long-term customers.P.S. I haven't mentioned the other company's name here because they ultimately agreed that they had misdiagnosed the problem and dropped the invoice in exchange for me not going online to post my experience. Simply put, you shouldn't worry who they are, just call Fox instead.

My entire experience with Fox Family Heating and Air was great. The person I spoke to on the phone was friendly and helpful. They got me on the schedule faster than expected. They texted me that the technician would be arriving and then the technician called me when he was close by. It was very helpful so I could wrangle my dog and kids before his arrival. When he got there he was extremely friendly both with me and my aforementioned dog and kids. After finding and watching some of Greg's excellent videos and maxing my own troubleshooting abilities, I was thrilled to see that the company is local. Chris was able to come out two days after I called about our AC issue. He was happy to let me watch and ask questions as he measured and found the refrigerant level low -- likely a slow leak. Being in Facility Management for 16 years taught me that the best defense in regards to HVAC systems is preventative maintenance. Fox responded in less than 6 business hours after calling late in the afternoon the day before service. An email and text showed up after the call with the technicians name and when he was expected to service our not working heater. Collin called and said he would be able to come earlier that the time he was expected.
